Follow the steps below to install the Analytic Solver and Data Science add-ins in Excel through the Microsoft Add-in Store. These add-ins require an active Microsoft 365 subscription.
1. In Excel, click the Insert tab in the ribbon, then click the "Add-ins" button.
Note: In newer versions of Excel, clicking the Add-ins button opens a side panel — not the Add-in Store directly. Select "More Add-ins" from that panel to reach the store (see Step 2).
2. Click "More Add-ins" to open the Add-in Store.
3. In the search bar, search for "Frontline".
If you see an "Office Store not available" message, your Microsoft 365 admin has restricted access to the Add-in Store. Contact your admin and ask them to enable access to the Microsoft 365 Add-in Store (also called the Office Store) via the Microsoft 365 admin center.
4. Click "Add" for both add-ins: Analytic Solver and Data Science.
5. Once both add-ins are installed, the Analytic Solver tab and Data Science tab will appear in your Excel ribbon. Click either tab to open the add-in and begin using it.
