How to Use Analytic Solver Cloud on a Mac

Which Analytic Solver product should I use on a Mac?

  • Analytic Solver for Mac is provided as Analytic Solver Cloud. The downloadable/local install is not available for Mac computers.
  • The Excel built-in Solver (the Solver available under Excel’s Data tab) is a different feature and is not the Analytic Solver add-in.

Getting started on a Mac

  1. Request a free 15-day trial on the Frontline Solvers website: https://www.solver.com/
  2. Use the Cloud version for Mac. Follow the Cloud installation and get-started instructions here:

Licensing and accounts (individuals and organizations)

  • Individuals: Create an account on the website to use Analytic Solver Cloud.
  • Organizations: Companies can purchase a number of commercial licenses for employees. Each licensed user will need to create an individual account to use Analytic Solver.
  • Payment and license management are handled through the website (users create accounts and sign in to access licensed software).
  • Academic class codes or book/course access codes apply to the Cloud version (codes can be used when accessing the software through the Cloud workflow).
