The Analytic Solver and Data Science Tabs Disappeared From My Excel Ribbon

The instructions below show how to bring back the Analytic Solver and Data Science tabs to the Excel Ribbon. The instructions have steps for both Desktop and Cloud versions.

Solution for Desktop Analytic Solver:

  1. Close Excel (save your work if you need to).
  2. Go to the windows icon in the lower left of your screen.
  3. Search for ASP Application Manager and then click "Open".
  4. This should open a dialog box with 3 buttons. Click on Register RSP Excel Add-in. It should say RSPAddin.xll registered successfully.


  5. Close the dialog box and open Excel. Your tabs should have returned.

 

Solution For Analytic Solver Cloud:

  1. In Excel, go to the Home tab and click the "Add-ins" button.


  2. Click "More Add-ins" to open the Add-in Store.


  3. In the Add-in Store, search for "Frontline". Then add both the Analytic Solver add-in and the Data Science add-in.


Note: If you see an "Add-in store not available" message, you will need to ask your account admin to refresh the add-ins for you.

4. You should now see the Analytic Solver tab and Data Science tab on your ribbon.
